RDWHAHB: An Introduction into the world of Home Brewing

What refreshes better than your favorite brew? How about your favorite brew hand crafted in the comfort of your own home, fermented with care and then bottled, or primed in a keg for your personal enjoyment!?

Have you thought about home brewing, do you have a Mr. Beer box collecting dust in the corner from Christmas past? Are you afraid that you will produce an undrinkable swill that will be better poured down the drain? Perhaps you are worried that you will be the next Greg Koch* and you’ll drink yourself into oblivion?

I am here to tell you that it is quite easy to get into this hobby and with care and attention to detail you will be making delicious beer, with little to no problems, quickly.

It has been over four years since I created my first IPA clone of Victory Headwaters Pale Ale and while it wasn’t ‘Spot On’ it was still a very tasty beer and made me feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment for my first attempt.

My hope for this blog is to share my experiences so far as I embark on a life-long hobby with home brewing. I am planning posts about some recent beers I brewed, how they turned out, and the search in local bars and restaurants for the cream of the crop craft beers that give me my inspiration to want to make more at home.

Here is a list of some of my favorite Sites/Bloggers (for when you want to read more than just my awesomeness 😛 )

Please stick around, leave a comment or question about what you’d like to hear about next. Have a great site, beer or spirit you’d like to share with us? I want to hear about it. #SharingIsCaring #Cheers 🙂
