OBS in the Time of Lockdown

2020 was quite the year for technology, particularly remote and work from home. Working from home became, and continues to be, the norm. Making the switch from in-person meetings, working sessions, and presentations was a big challenge. Like me, most people discovered they needed to boost their bandwidth and get familiar with web cameras, ring lights, Zoom, and more of the tools that would make their experience smoother and more optimized.

One key element that has made my presenting better is a ‘Free’ software program called Open Broadcast Software (OBS).

As part of my new TL/DR initiative, I have created an OBS introduction video and published it on my YouTube channel.

Be kind, drop a like and subscribe. I am constantly learning and working on my presentation skills so be assured that the quality and fun of video making will just get better from here.

This video was part of a collaboration with my colleague and friend Jeremy Wheeler. You can see my video there as well as get even more details into things like Hardware, Green Screens, cameras, lighting and more. Check out his blog post:

Virtually There: Presentations that Pop! | Virtually Caffeinated

As always hit me up here, via email, twitter and now on my YouTube channel.

Until next time, vJoeG!
